Environmental Systems has just concluded the final negotiations with the US Naval Air Warfare Center to develop and produce the latest environmental control unit utilizing “Ozone Friendly” R134a refrigerant.
These new ECU, heat pump air conditioners will produce three tons of cooling capacity for the Navy Mobile Facility Shelter Program. This new unit will undergo the First Article testing program and will be completed in the last quarter of 2006. Production will immediately follow for these new ECU’s under a five year IDIQ contract.
Environmental Systems has made its first production delivery of the LCAC 400 Cycle Air Conditioning Units to the Navy’s Norfolk VA facility and will furnish the San Diego facility with production LCAC Units with one month. Further, the Navy has increased the quantity of production units through additional contract year options.
